Join us for Works For Me Wednesday at We Are That Family.
I have mentioned time and time again on this blog how one of the best ways to save money when on vacation is to choose restaurants where kids can eat for free. We always plan our dining out around restaurants where kids can eat for free when we are on vacation. When I was planning our trip to Orlando I ran across the Kids Eat Free Card, where kids eat for free at participating restaurants in Orlando when you buy the card. I was a bit skeptical but purchased it anyhow. To my surprise it was very easy to use, and in my opinion was a huge savings on our trip.
The Kids Eat Free Card retails for $19.99, and each kid needs their own. However to use the Kids Eat Free Card there has to be an adult purchasing their meal at full price so if you have three kids but only two adults, you will only be able to use two Kids Eat Free cards, which was the case in our situation.
When you buy the card you can use it at participating restaurants in Orlando for ninety days, however the time does not start until you use it for the first time. I was worried about the amount of restaurants that we would be able to use it at, or that all of the restaurants would be restaurants we would not eat at. There is a good selection of restaurants to choose from fast food, specialty and steak houses. We used the card at Cici's Pizza, California Pizza Kitchen, A&W Rootbeer, Baskin Robbins, Cattleman's Steakhouse, Johnny Rockets, Cheeseburger Cheeseburger, Nascar Sports Grille, and the NBA restaurant. There were a lot of restaurants that accepted the card that we would have ate at, but just simply ran out of time. I liked that we could use it for donuts for breakfast, fast food for lunch, a sit down dinner for supper, ice cream, and even to order pizza.
I was thrilled with the card, and will purchase it again on our next trip to Orlando.
